1. Bring 1 gallon of water to a boil. 2. If desired, add 1 tbsp of salt to boiling water. 3. To cook al dente (The Italian phrase al dente refers to firmly cooked pasta), place pasta into boiling water and stir occasionally for 3-4 minutes. 4. Drain in a colander, do not rinse. Serve immediately with your favorite sauce.
