Sausage should always be cooked thoroughly to an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F. Sausage should be cooked from a thawed state. Always use tongs when handling sausage links. Skillet/Pan Frying Instructions: Place sausage links in a pan at medium heat. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water. Cover and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove cover and brown evenly, turning links occasionally, for another 8 to 12 min. Cook longer if necessary to fully cook and brown. Lower the heat if they are browning too quickly. For food safety, cook thoroughly to a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer. Perishable. Previously handled frozen for your protection.
