The product features blue UV light as well as a white led light that illuminates the area. The inner electric grid kills flying insects on contact. Turn the light switch off on the fixture you wish to install the product. 2. Remove the existing bulb. 3. Screw the product completely into the socket clockwise. Operation: The Pic Pest Free Living Insect Killer bulb is designed for use with standard household medium base (E26) light sockets and is controlled by using the standard light switch already operating your light fixture. Additional equipment is not required. The product has two operating modes - 1. Blue UV and bug-zapping with a white LED light. 2. Blue UV and bug-zapping only. 1. By flipping the switch on, the bulb will operate in bug-zapping mode with both the blue UV light and white LED light. 2. By flipping the light switch off then on after a slight delay, the bulb will operate in bug-zapping mode with the blue UV light only. To turn the unit off, flip the electrical switch to the off position. To remove insects from the product, remove the bulb from the socket and allow to sit for 45 minutes to fully release the charge from the zapper. Next, use your cleaning brush to gently clean any debris from the zapping grid. Finally, grasp the catch tray tab and gen. Pull to remove, discarding debris. Notice: Always operate the product with the catch tray inserted.
