Lentils are an organic agricultural product. Despite the use of modern cleaning equipment is not always possible to remove all foreign materials. Always rinse and sort lentils before cooking.
Ready in about 20 min. How to Cook: Rinse lentils before cooking. Add 1 cup lentils and 2 cups water to a saucepan, cover, and bring to a boil. Turn down heat to low to let the lentils simmer but leave the lid ajar so they don't boil over. Keep the level of the water above the lentils and add water as needed. Let simmer until the lentils are tender and can be easily mashed with a fork, about 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
